Last week we talked about how your inner critic uses limiting beliefs to hold you in a place where it considers it to be “safe”. Let me remind you that fear is not necessarily a bad thing; however, if you let it control your life that is a different story. Fear comes up when something is important to you so acknowledge the importance then push through the fear.
Self-Inventory:
Self-Reflection and Self-Discovery
Today we are going to address something that I know is probably scaring the shit out of you… yourself. Why do I know you scare the shit out of yourself? Well, for many reasons:
You are scared to be a “failure” just as much as you are scared to succeed
You have always had people around you that influenced you beliefs and now that you are alone, you have no idea what you believe
You know that you don’t know much about yourself and what if you don’t like what you find
You have been engulfed in your trauma so long that it is all you know
You think about giving up everyday because nothing is changing
Now let me reframe your mindset here. We are going to change those limiting beliefs above and then turn them into affirmations to support you when those thoughts come up:
When you “fail” you are only learning how to do things differently the next time, and success is what you define it to be; the only failure is when you do not learn
You do not have to agree with people for them to “like” you; you have your own experience and are allowed to disagree with people
When you accept all parts of you, there will be peace within as any “mistake” is what makes you human; we all make mistakes
Your trauma does not define you
You are the change you have been waiting for
Affirmations to support self-love and regret limiting beliefs:
I am a learning and growing human who is capable of great things, and my success does not define me as I attract abundance into my life
I am a being of an individual mind, body, and soul that can make choices to support oneness
I accept myself as I am human and make mistakes but I choose to learn the lessons in them
My experience does not define who I am as I am always evolving and how I react is what will make an impact
I am ready and open to change
Crazy how much of a shit we have already just made, and believe it or not there is still so much more to be done. Diving into self means that you are becoming aware of who you were, who you are, and who you want to be. There are many layers within you and only you will know what parts are the most authentic form of you.
Self-Inventory Questions: *Journaling is recommended*
What brings you joy?
What are you good at?
What do you like to do for fun?
What is an activity you like that most people don’t?
What do people come to you for?
