New years bring on many things as we start to “re-start” things in our lives as our life, society, and the world do the same. New year's resolutions are often set only to be forgotten as time goes on. If you are here now, then you know now is not the time to forget your goals.
Let’s set the tone for the year!
Have you set your intentions? What is your intention for the year? Do you know what setting your intentions mean?
Setting your intention is important as it sets the tone for how you will be deciding to show up in the world and for yourself.
Let me explain further:
Intention means you are setting a plan, aiming for a goal, designing a purpose, creating an objective, or anything along those lines. It means you are consciously making the choice to stay focused on one thing until it is achieved or met.
I will give you this metaphor. When you go to drive your car, do you aimlessly drive or do you pick your destination beforehand? Setting your intention goes the same way. If you start your year, month, week, or day without setting intention, then you have no control over what becomes of it because you did not make the decision beforehand.
You see, picking the direction of your day does really make an impact. If you woke up everyday and said “today is going to be a bad day”, then I bet you get a bad day; but if you were to wake up and say “today is going to be a great day”, I bet you will have a day full of blessings you would have missed if set “bad” to begin with.
So now I will ask you again...
What is your intention for this year?
How are you going to put action behind your intention daily?
What support will setting a weekly intention give you?
This week I challenge you to create an intention list. This list would serve as a weekly intention list. I suggest keeping it where you would see it daily.
